Chuck Berry, May 14th Luncheon Speaker
Chuck Berry has spent the past 30 years immersed in sports. It all started in college when Chuck worked with ABC Sports as a statistician in golf events (worked with Jim McKay, Frank Gifford, Chris Schenkel, and Byron Nelson) and in the graphics department for NFL and NCAA football and NBA basketball games.
He went to work with a leading baseball agent out of law school, and their company was later acquired and became the baseball division of IMG Sports. Chuck eventually started his own sports management company, Champions Management. Over the years he worked with hall of famer Joe Morgan, Jack Clark, Julio Franco, Ruben Sierra, Gary Ward, Manny Sanguillen, Javy Lopez, and many more.
Through his friendship with Manny Sanguillen, Chuck met the Roberto Clemente family and worked for many years as an advisor to the family and still sits on their Board for Sports City in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In recent years, Chuck has worked with over 50 NFL football players on their concussion claims against the NFL, including Tony Dorsett and Hugh Green. He also teaches sports-related classes at the Rowlands School of Business at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and, to keep things interesting, he just acquired his real estate license and is working with Berkshire Hathaway.
